Is this
Legal?
|
Is this Legal? YES!!!!! |
|
It is important to
note that copyright laws do apply. If you are having your privately
made videos transferred you are free to do as you wish. If you want
a commercially made video transferred read carefully. It is legal for an individual to
transfer or have some else transfer a single copy for his or her own
use, provided he/she owns the originals. It is not legal to
make multiple copies. DLF Transfer will not transfer a video for a customer
when the customer's intent is to make multiple copies of copyrighted
material
DLF Transfer assumes that the customer has gained a legal copy
of any video sent to DLF Transfer.
DLF Transfer transfers videos for
your own personal use only. Unless you own a commercial copyright,
commercial use is illegal!!!!!

Packing My
Videos |
Pack the Records Yourself
Materials Needed
- Box 10x6x4 (larger for more than
one tape)
- Filler material – old newspapers,
bubble wrap etc.
- Packing tape at least two inches
wide
What do you do?
-
Place at least one inch filler on the
bottom of the box
-
Put your video, check, money order or
online payment form and COMPLETED
order form in the box
-
Add enough filler to secure the video in the middle of the box is firm when closed
-
Seal the box and ship to DLF Music Transfer
If you are looking for the least expensive way for an individual to
ship videos I have found the Post Office’s media mail to be most
economical. The Post office sets the rate only by weight; distance
doesn’t matter. Shipping
this way would likely be approximately four to five dollars. This method requires you
go to your local post office in person to have your package weighed
and postage applied.
If you are looking for a carrier to pick up your package I suggest
UPS Ground. All you need to do is call UPS at 1-800-pick-ups(742-5877)
to schedule a pick up. The rate for this depends on where you are;
however, the rate will likely be in the ten to thirteen dollar range.

The Process
|
How does it go from a Tape to a DVD? |
|
First your
tape is played on an “old
fashioned” tape player which is connected thru a special
converter to the inputs of a computer. As the video plays, the
computer changes the analog video and audio signals from the
converter into a digital recording which is then stored on the
computer. This
digital recording is then edited. Next a DVD is created in the
format you requested. Finally, your DVD is printed with your picture
and information. If one of case options was ordered, that will
printed and added to the DVD order. |
